Trishaw Rides with Cycling Without Age

At Sea the Change, we’re proud to be bringing the joy of cycling to everyone – regardless of age or ability. In partnership with Cycling Without Age Scotland and Saltgreens Residential Care Home, we offer trishaw rides on beautiful routes throughout Eyemouth, giving people the chance to get outdoors, connect with others and experience the freedom of two wheels.

What is a Trishaw Ride?

A trishaw is a specially designed three-wheeled bike with a comfortable passenger seat at the front, piloted by one of our trained volunteers. Riders simply sit back and enjoy the journey – no cycling experience or physical ability required.

Our routes take in the scenery around Eyemouth, offering a relaxed and sociable experience for everyone on board. Whether it’s a familiar view seen from a new perspective or a route you’ve never explored, every ride is a little adventure.

Who is it for?

Trishaw rides are open to anyone who might benefit from getting outdoors and enjoying a gentle, supported ride. We particularly welcome older adults, residents from Saltgreens Residential Care Home, and anyone who finds independent cycling difficult or impossible. If you think someone you know would benefit, we’d love to hear from you.

Why it Matters

Time outdoors does wonders for the mind and body. Our riders regularly tell us how much they look forward to their rides – the fresh air, the scenery and the simple pleasure of being out in the community again. For many, it’s a highlight of their week.

The shared experience is just as important. Riders and pilots often form real connections, and the conversations that happen on a trishaw ride are something special.
