New year. Fresh starts. Continued community action.
What’s On, What’s New and How You Can Take Part
Looking Ahead to a Year of Positive Community Action
As we move into 2026, Sea The Change is preparing for another active and inspiring year. Our focus remains on inclusive community activities that support wellbeing, sustainability and meaningful local connection.
Over the past year, we’ve seen how small actions can create lasting impact. Because of this, we are expanding our programmes and welcoming more people to take part.
Inclusive Cycling and Trishaw Activities
One of our key priorities for 2026 is inclusive cycling. In particular, our Cycling Without Age trishaw rides will continue to grow.
These rides help people of all ages enjoy safe, supported cycling experiences. In addition, they reduce isolation and encourage social connection. Many participants tell us the rides improve their confidence and well-being.
We also plan to train more volunteer pilots. As a result, more rides will be available throughout the year.
Environmental Projects and Community Clean-Ups
Alongside cycling initiatives, environmental community activities remain central to our work.
Throughout 2026, we will continue to run community clean-ups across Berwickshire. These events help protect local green spaces while bringing people together for a shared purpose.
Furthermore, clean-up days offer opportunities to learn about sustainability and environmental responsibility. They are practical, accessible ways for people to take action locally.
Events, Workshops and Community Gatherings
Community events play a vital role in connecting people. Therefore, our events calendar for 2026 will include a wide range of activities.
These may include themed cycling events, wellbeing sessions, workshops and seasonal gatherings. Each event is designed to be welcoming, inclusive and easy to join.
Importantly, many events are free or low-cost. This ensures that everyone can take part, regardless of background or ability.
How You Can Get Involved in 2026
There are many ways to support Sea The Change and our community activities.
You might choose to volunteer, attend an event, donate, or simply share our work with others. Even small contributions make a difference.
If you are new to Sea The Change, now is a great time to get involved. We regularly update our website and social channels with upcoming opportunities.
