Our dedicated sub-group, the Berwickshire Anti-Litter Group (BAG), works tirelessly to protect and enhance the towns, villages, coastline and countryside of East Berwickshire.
By bringing communities and partners together, BAG takes a coordinated approach to tackling litter and fly-tipping. Through practical action and public awareness, we are creating cleaner, safer and more sustainable spaces for everyone.
Our Aims
BAG focuses on:
- Coordinating community efforts to tackle litter and fly-tipping
- Working with partners, including Scottish Borders Council, to promote best practice
- Raising awareness about the environmental and social impact of litter
- Supporting local residents to take positive action
We believe that small, consistent actions lead to lasting change.
Community Litter Picks
BAG hosts regular meetings and community litter picks throughout Berwickshire. These events are welcoming, practical and impactful — and everyone is encouraged to get involved.
